Dr. Hitendra K Garg is One of the Best Gastroenterologist doctor in Delhi. He is the Senior Consultant Gastroenterologist, Hepatologist and Therapeutic Endoscopist. .He is the Transplant Hepatologist in Indraprastha Apollo Hospital. He has more than 18 years’ experience in this specialty. Prior to this he was working as Assistant Professor (Hepatology) in Institute of Liver & Biliary Sciences for more 4 yrs. He has published more than 20 papers in liver related disorder in various national and international Journals. He has also presented various papers at National and International conferences, including presentation in plenary session in American Association for the study of Liver Diseases (AASLD) in 2009.

Has also done organized training programs in EUS from Mumbai and Montreal (Canada).

Successful Endoscopic Removal of Large Polypoidal

A post kidney transplant patient with recurrent anemia whose stool for occult blood was positive & UGIE test outside showed a large pol- ypoidal(12-15 cm) lesion seen in the D1 D2 to D3 occupying 2/3rd of the duodenal lumen was referred to Apollo hospital for surgery. The team led by Dr Hitendra K Garg, Senior Gastroenterologist performed upper GI Endoscopy to assess the lesion. The patient was advised for endoscopic removal of very large polypoidal (12 - 15cm) and it took around 5hrs. The preoperative and postoperative case was un- eventful and the patient was discharged two days after the endosco- py. This endoscopic removal saved the morbidity of surgical intervention.
